Singer songwriter Mz. Pat “The Lady Of Soul” is a native daughter of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Inspired by her mother, Gospel singer Lela Pearl Joseph, and her father Bernard Delaney, who managed acts during the big-band Jazz era of Duke Ellington, Mz. Pat sites growing up with 70’s Soul Funk bands like The Commodores, Earth Wind & Fire, solo artists “Godfather of Soul” James Brown, “Queen of Soul” Aretha Franklin, the deep and soulful Donny Hathaway, Stevie Wonder and The Jackson 5 as contributing to her own unique style.


In 2005 Mz. Pat became known as a “blossoming new talent” on the independent soul scene gaining worldwide attention as part of the R&B Soul duo 2GA1 “Together As One” together with vocalist, writer, producer Darryl Hatcher. As a result of the “Together as One” project, Astral22 reached out to Mz. Pat to collaborate in 2009 on “Fair Play” featured on “Astral22 Presents… Imperial”.


2011 marked the release of Mz. Pat’s debut solo album “BRING ‘EM BACK” which received rave reviews and gave her the opportunity to open up for some of the most highly legendary artists in Jazz, Soul and Blues, among them; Miki Howard, Jodeci, Rome and Jean Carne. She has worked and traveled with a variety of respected local Baton Rouge artists like Tyree Neal, Tucka, and the late Big Cynthia and more. Her image and soulful voice has been featured on the hit TV series “Empire” Season 1, Episode 1, which features “Working That Nookie Thing” by Big Cynthia.


Mz. Pat also wrote and performed the theme song “Steve” for the TV show‘ Hog Wash”.Mz. Pat is currently performing weekly at a variety of events, venues and concerts in the Southeast and beyond. The light is shining very brightly down on Mz. Pat.
